About

Tired of Cable or DSL?

Arx Web delivers reliable high-speed internet service to many areas throughout West Virginia and Ohio. We DO NOT cap your data usage. Unlike some larger ISPs, we will never sell your usage data to third parties. We are here to simply provide you with reliable internet service in your home or place of business.

LINE-OF-SIGHT INSTALLATION

Our installation process is straightforward. For most applications, a small subscriber module is mounted somewhere on your property with line-of-sight to one of our service nodes. This module receives a signal and provides internet over a single high-speed cable into your home or business.

In some cases, the primary signal from a tower can be repeated in small bursts. A "micropop" is installed on a rooftop and allows subscribers to connect wirelessly to its location instead of requiring a line-of-sight all the way back to the tower.

LTE INSTALLATION

Some customer sites that have no line of sight to our tower sectors may require an LTE (Long Term Evolution) radio installation. This is an advanced radio which uses a 3.65GHz link whose signal is able to penetrate most light foliage and minor line-of-sight obstructions. This service requires an advanced radio installation fee ($100) due to its complicated deployment and configuration.

The customer-site installation of this tech is very similar to the line-of-sight 5GHz link, but considers some other factors to determine link quality.

You may have heard in recent news that some larger ISPs have requested the FCC allow them to charge subscribers more to simply protect their usage trends. There are enough threats on the internet without ISPs becoming one of them. Check out the article below to see how other ISPs are handling subscriber usage data.
